We took our kids to the National Zoo on Memorial Day. Weather.com said it was 91 degrees. I swear it felt ten degrees hotter. My children are both fair haired and blue eyed – I tend to douse them in sunscreen. I was a little worried about being out all day in the hot sun. We used Episencial Sunny Sun Block for Kids, SPF 35 that morning on all of us. I think we actually used almost the whole tube. It’s somewhat chalky like all mineral sunscreens but it blended in easily.
While we were there, the kids insisted on playing in the many sprinklers the zoo had going and we did not reapply (we really should have). Episencial says it’s water resistant for up to 80 minutes and I can attest to that.
It also contains aloe and green tea extract to keep skin cool and protected from sun damage.
The true test as far as I’m concerned is that not one of us had any degree of sunburn at all by the end of the day. I saw so many people with obvious sunburns, some rather severe looking. Episencial’s Sunny Sunblock was nice to use, went on easily, and protected everyone’s skin. It’s a keeper.
